Hello.

My name is Liz. I like to sew. I am a stay-at-home mom to two kids and constantly on the fence about having a third. In fact, that is sort of how all this started. My daughter is almost two, and a few months back I decided it was time to finally let go of her baby clothes. As I gathered them all together, I realized that some were just too cute or too full of sentiment to get rid of them. My grandmother was a quilter and sewist and I was always intrigued by the things that she made (alas, she died before I got seriously interested in learning the craft). I'd always thought that maybe someday I could make beautiful quilts like she had done. I am also incredibly frugal and I saw the opportunity to use my daughter's beautiful clothes instead of buying tons of fabric for this quilt I wanted to sew.

The "clothes quilt" never actually came to be. Once I took a quilting class and learned the difference between cottons and knits and jerseys and etc., I shed my idea of cutting up all those clothes. But I did make another quilt for her (above) and I kick-started a sewing craze.

My mom nicknamed me "Busy B" when I was little because I rarely sit for long periods of time. When I want to finish a project, I do it. That's why I started this blog. I began doing project after project after project and it dawned on me that I like to work FAST. I was beginning to surprise myself with what I was getting done. I've always bought things on etsy and I thought with a little time and work, I could start my own store and build and inventory. And that is exactly what I am working on now.

I look forward to posting more!
